Description

MineralsEd is pleased to present a hands-on, half day workshop to introduce our teacher-written primary resource unit: K-3 Integrated Resource Unit: Kids & Rocks. The unit uses a geological theme that appeals to primary students to address the processes of science, as well as lessons in language arts, music, art, social studies, personal planning, and math, all using natural materials that truly fascinate children - ROCKS!

This unit addresses the curricular competencies and the content of the new BC Learning Standards, lends itself to place-based explorations, and is experiential learning at its best.

The workshop is presented by primary specialist, exemplary teacher and rocks enthusiast, Ann Brace.
